See Emma Watson's new bob haircut

The actress previously had hair well past her shoulders.

LONDON, Dec. 9 (UPI) -- Emma Watson has a new, bob hairstyle.

The 25-year-old English actress debuted the look at a London screening of "The True Cost" on Tuesday. Watson shared a selfie with Livia Firth from the event, and also retweeted a photo her publicist, Luke Windsor, posted of the cut.

"Love her - privilege to host @truecostmovie screening with @liviafirth @andrew_morgan & @lucysiegle," the star wrote. Firth is the wife of actor Colin Firth and the founder of Eco-Age, a company that provides businesses with sustainability solutions.

The True Cost is a documentary that explores the "impact of fashion on people and the planet." The film is directed by Andrew Morgan, with Firth as executive producer. It initially opened in May.

Watson is one of many celebrities who have chopped off their long locks in recent months. Television personality Nicole Richie and actresses Jenna Dewan, Sophia Bush and Jennifer Lawrence are also sporting short or bob haircuts.

"I am trying to grow it but it's slow, it's taking a while, obviously," she told Elle after her 2011 pixie cut. "If I want to keep acting then it's more flexible for me to have it longer for different roles, it's quite a specific cut. I'm kind of looking forward to getting a cute little bob stage."

Watson is best known for playing Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter movies, and will next star in Regression with Ethan Hawke. She is also slated for The Circle with Tom Hanks, and will play Belle in a live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast.
