WASHINGTON, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- John Krasinski denies being "genuinely in love" with Office co-star Jenna Fischer amid news he and his wife, Emily Blunt, are expecting their second child.

Speaking with The Daily Beast, the 13 Hours actor says reports Fischer believed they were truly in love, as taken from her appearance on Watch What Happens Live last week, were "wildly misquoted or taken out of context."

"I'm sure she was trying to say something nice about how genuine the acting relationship was, of bringing a relationship that became that popular onscreen -- and I think we both feel it's such an honor to be a part of that relationship," he said.

"As far as how she was quoted about saying we were 'genuinely in love,' I think that was taken wildly out of context and I feel bad for her."

Krasinski and Fischer played onscreen couple Jim Halpert and Pam Beesley on the popular NBC show The Office. Fischer, in real life, is married to Lee Kirk.

Krasinski's response to Fischer's comments comes at the same time as reports he and his real-life wife, Emily Blunt, are expecting their second child. Blunt's rep reportedly confirmed the news with the press Tuesday.

The new baby will be siblings with the couple's daughter, Hazel, who was born in February 2014.
