NEW YORK, June 2 (UPI) -- Melissa McCarthy stunned on the red carpet Monday.

The 44-year-old actress wore a dress from her Melissa McCarthy Seven7 collection to the New York premiere of Spy. The flowing, empire-waist dress featured long sleeves, an all-over pattern and jeweled detail.

McCarthy teamed with Sunrise Brands on her clothing line and announced the project in November 2014. Melissa McCarthy Seven7 will include pieces for women of all sizes, and debut in stores in August.

"I just don't believe in a uniform," she told People magazine of her personal approach to style. "I think if people have it and they love it, great, but I think people get into a rut and I've always been someone who gets a kick out of dressing."

"I want women to get dressed every day and feel good about themselves," she shared. "I don't care what it is, if it's dyeing your hair blue, if it's a sweater, whatever you want to do, if it makes you feel good and empowered, I stand behind it 100 percent."

Spy is directed by Paul Feig, with whom McCarthy previously collaborated on Bridesmaids, and co-stars Jason Statham and Rose Byrne. Jude Law, Bobby Cannavale, Allison Janney and Morena Baccarin also have roles, and the movie opens in theaters Friday.
