Report: Mindy McCready's beau, David Wilson, shot himself

NEW YORK, Jan. 16 (UPI) -- Country singer Mindy McCready's boyfriend, David Wilson, fatally shot himself in his Arkansas home, the New York Post reported.

The newspaper cited unnamed sources at the Cleburne County Sheriff's department in Arkansas as saying the singer, songwriter and music producer died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound Sunday night.

The Post did not say what part of his body he shot. It also didn't suggest why he apparently committed suicide.

Wilson, 34, is the father of McCready's 9-month old son. He also helped the singer raise her 6-year-old son from a previous relationship.

"Today, we mourn the loss of my life partner and my children's father, David Wilson," McCready said in a statement to the FOX411 entertainment blog. "David was my soulmate; he was a caregiver and guiding hand to our sons, Zander and Zayne. He was a precious gift from God to all of us and, yesterday, he returned home and is now with his mother and father."

Singer Elton John becomes second-time dad at age 65

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 16 (UPI) -- British pop music icon Elton John and his husband, David, say they have become dads again after their second son was born via surrogate in Los Angeles.

John, 65, said on his website Tuesday baby Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John was born Jan. 11.

The Johns are also parents to 2-year-old Zachary.

"Both of us have longed to have children, but the reality that we now have two sons is almost unbelievable. The birth of our second son completes our family in a most precious and perfect way. It is difficult to fully express how we are feeling at this time; we are just overwhelmed with happiness and excitement," the couple said in a statement to Hello! magazine.

Elton John married David Furnish, 50, in 2005 after 12 years of dating.

Prince Harry tops Town & Country's eligible bachelor list

NEW YORK, Jan. 16 (UPI) -- Town & Country magazine has declared Britain's Prince Harry the most eligible bachelor of 2013.

"He's the wild-card royal, the naughty one, the one who ... hangs out with a fast crowd, downs too many drinks, and goes home at the wrong moment. That's why we all like him best," the publication said of the 28-year-old prince. "Harry might not possess a towering intellect -- he was a lackadaisical student at Eton, and he skipped university to go to Sandhurst, the English equivalent of West Point -- but he is cooler and more appealing than his older brother, sweet as William undoubtedly is."

Harry is the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II, the son of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana, and the brother of Prince William.

Town & Country also noted as great catches wealthy single guys Conor Kennedy, Tim Tebow, Jack Nicholson, Philip Roth, George Hamilton, Andrew Lauren, Scott Eastwood, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Charles Rockefeller, George Clooney and the Winkelvoss twins.
