KATY PERRY: Billboard magazine says it will present Katy Perry with its Woman of the Year Award at the 2012 Billboard Women in Music event in New York.
The ceremony is set for Nov. 30 at Capitale.
The award "honors the achievements of a trailblazing female recording artist over the past 12 months, and acknowledges her overall success in the music business and her leadership in embracing the changing industry," the magazine said in a news release.
"Katy Perry broke into the industry not even five years ago, and has already accomplished more than most artists can hope for in an entire career," Bill Werde, Billboard's editorial director, said in a statement Tuesday. "We are thrilled to celebrate these incredible achievements and her amazing past 12 months by honoring her with the Billboard Woman of the Year Award. With what seems like a never-ending supply of record-breaking, chart-topping hits, coupled with her unique and fresh style, Katy Perry is hands-down one of the most exciting and inspiring artists in the industry today."
Perry, 27, is a Grammy Award-winning singer known for her songs "Wide Awake," "I Kissed a Girl," "Hot n Cold," "Waking Up in Vegas," "Teenage Dream," "California Gurls," "Firework," "E.T." and "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)"
PAMELA ANDERSON: Pamela Anderson and Tristan MacManus became the first couple eliminated from the "Dancing with the Stars" all-star edition in Los Angeles Tuesday night.
"I was ready for it," Anderson said upon learning her fate, acknowledging her low scores from the previous night. "We're going to dance together again. It doesn't end here."
Still in the running with their professional dance partners for the coveted mirrorball trophy are Sabrina Bryan, Bristol Palin, Joey Fatone, Kirstie Alley, Apolo Ohno, Gilles Marini, Melissa Rycroft, Kelly Monaco, Shawn Johnson, Helio Castroneves, Drew Lachey and Emmitt Smith.
Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke-Charvet are the co-hosts of the show.
CARRIE UNDERWOOD: Country music star Carrie Underwood politely obliged a 12-year-old boy's request that she give him his first kiss at a recent Louisville concert.
USA Today said Underwood, 29, was performing on stage Saturday night when she spotted a boy in the audience, holding up a sign that said, "Will you be my first kiss?"
She invited the fan, identified only as Chase, on stage and asked, "How are we gonna do this?" the newspaper reported.
"Lip to lip," the boy said.
Underwood gave him a quick peck on the lips and told the crowd, "The only time that's going to happen."
She also joked with the boy about how her husband, professional hockey player Mike Fisher, was in the building somewhere "and might be looking for you later," USA Today said.

"It's been going on for a few months," an insider said.
MacFarlane, 38, is best known as the creator of the animated series "The Family Guy."
Clarke, 24, is a cast member of the HBO fantasy series "Game of Thrones."
MacFarlane "wants someone he is attracted to but who can have a good time and enjoy his success with," the source told UsMagazine.com. "He's actually also a 'Game of Thrones' fan!"
