OJAI, Calif., March 27 (UPI) -- Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth tied the knot Saturday night in a private ceremony at the actress's Southern California ranch, her representative confirmed.

The Witherspoon camp told People magazine the Oscar-winning actress walked down the aisle after a pre-ceremony cocktail reception to the tune of "Here Comes the Bride."

The A-list guest list included fellow stars Scarlett Johansson, Sean Penn, Toby McGuire, Selma Hayek and Renee Zelwegger.

Entertainment Tonight said Sunday that according to neighbors, the ceremony took place in the front yard of the secluded ranch in Ojai after late-season rains made the original venue in the back yard too muddy.

Prince William, Kate Middleton chose baker

LONDON, March 27 (UPI) -- English baker Fiona Cairns has made cakes for rock legends and now she will make one for Prince William and Kate Middleton, officials said.

Cairns will make one of two cakes to be featured at the royal wedding April 29th at Westminster Abbey, the BBC reported Sunday.

Cairns' official wedding cake will be a traditional multiple-tiered fruitcake decorated with edible flowers -- an English rose, a Scottish thistle, a Welsh daffodil and an Irish shamrock.

Cairns, who has made cakes for Paul McCartney and the rock band Pink Floyd, said her latest creation would also feature the couple's new cipher, which is thought to be the couple's intertwined initials.

"I couldn't believe it, I'm very excited, very daunted and very privileged -- a mixture of emotions," Cairns said about being chosen to make the cake. "It's multitiered, doesn't have color -- it's cream and white [icing] -- and it's a traditional cake but also quite delicate and modern, all the tiers will have a different theme."

Cairns said one of her secrets to making good fruitcake is to let the fruit soak overnight in brandy to soften and plump it.

People magazine said Prince William would also have his favorite chocolate cookie cake. It will be made by the McVitie biscuit company, which made a cake for the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh's 60th wedding anniversary.
