LOS ANGELES, June 21 (UPI) -- U.S. rock singer Courtney Love says she's "suicidal" because someone stole her late husband's ashes.

The former Hole lead singer said she has been emotionally distraught ever since an unidentified individual stole the ashes of her late husband, Nirvana star Kurt Cobain, from her Hollywood home, the Daily Mail reported Friday.

"I can't believe anyone would take Kurt's ashes from me. I find it disgusting and right now I'm suicidal," Love said. "If I don't get them back I don't know what I'll do.

"They were all I had left of him. Who has their husband's ashes stolen?"

The struggling singer, known, in part, for the Hole album "Celebrity Skin," has since gone from a relatively healthy physique to a dramatically thin frame, the Mail said.

The British newspaper said the celebrity appeared in Los Angeles Thursday sporting a 1920s dress that only accentuated her pale waif-like appearance, which the publication said has drawn concern from some.
