Simpson ordered to pay video game profits

LOS ANGELES, Calif., Aug. 9 (UPI) -- O.J. Simpson must pay the family of the late Ron Goldman money he earns from a video game to fulfill a wrongful death judgment, a Los Angeles judge ruled.

The judge's ruling didn't indicate how much money Simpson may have received from the deal to include his likeness in "All-Pro Football 2K8," The Miami Herald reported Thursday.

Simpson, now living in Kendall, Fla., was acquitted of murder in the 1994 killings of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and Goldman, her friend, but found liable in a wrongful death action civil court. A $33.5 million judgment against Simpson was awarded for the wrongful deaths of Goldman and Brown Simpson.

Take-Two Interactive Software, the game's publisher whose titles include "Grand Theft Auto" and "Manhunt 2," included a digital version of Simpson on a imaginary squad called the Assassins, which features a hooded mascot who makes stabbing gestures in the air with a knife every time the team scores.

In his ruling Tuesday, the judge also instructed Simpson to turn over paper work, including contracts related to the video game agreement and any other financial deals in the pipeline, to the Goldmans, E! News reported.
