Music companies sued over teen porn

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 12 (UPI) -- A lawsuit filed in a Los Angeles Court alleged that a 16-year-old girl was persuaded to make a pornographic video for a band.

When the rock group Buckcherry asked fans to come to Hollywood's Key Club in October, a minor who showed up was allegedly given alcohol and filmed while showing her breasts and kissing another female, The Los Angeles Times reported.

The music video that showed the girl and gave her first name was posted to Buckcherry's Web site. After the video aired, the girl suffered emotional distress and had to switch schools, the newspaper report said.

"You can imagine the panic this girl felt when this video started getting aired," her attorney Douglas Silverstein told the Times. "She's been called a lesbian at school."

An attorney for Buckcherry said IDs had been checked at the door, so she must have come with fake identification. Both Atlantic Records and Warner Music Group denied responsibility.

A Warner executive said the video was re-edited after the girl's mother contacted the company. But versions of the video were still circulating, the Times said.
