'Grey's Anatomy' moves to Thursday nights

NEW YORK, May 16 (UPI) -- ABC Tuesday said its hit Sunday night show "Grey's Anatomy" will move to Thursdays next season opposite CBS' "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation."

"We feel it's a show that deserves the 9 o'clock time period (on Thursday). It deserves to be on the mantle of great shows on television," ABC Entertainment President Stephen McPherson said in New York.

The 2006-2007 ABC Thursday prime time lineup will start with two new comedies, "Big Day" and "Notes From the Underbelly," followed by "Grey's Anatomy" and a new ensemble drama, "Six Degrees."

"With comedies leading into it, it establishes another strong place for us on the schedule," McPherson said.

ABC is bringing back "Wife Swap," "The Bachelor," "Supernanny," "What About Brian," "Dancing With the Stars," "Boston Legal," "Lost," "America's Funniest Home Videos," "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" and "Desperate Housewives."

New shows on the schedule include the comedies "Let's Rob ...," starring Donal Logue as the leader of a group of guys who conspire to rob Mick Jagger; and "Help Me Help You," starring Ted Danson as a group therapy leader.
