Brett Michael's tour bus shot

CHICOPEE, Mass., Nov. 23 (UPI) -- A single shot fired into Bret Michaels' tour bus in Chicopee, Mass., left the Poison frontman with minor injuries from flying glass.

The shooting happened Monday night as Michaels was resting before a performance at the Rumble Seat Bar and Grille, E! Online reported.

A statement issued by Michaels' manager claimed the shooting was not random "due to the shots being fired directly into the living quarters of the bus."

The statement goes on to say, "Throughout his career, Michaels has been the target of numerous death threats investigated by the FBI."

A Chicopee police official, however, said the incident appeared to be a "random act of vandalism" with a pellet gun.

Michaels said he will not let the incident affect his solo tour.

"It is going to take more than a cowardly act like this to make me stop performing or stop my tour," he said. "Hopefully, with the help of many people, we will catch the person who did this and they will be brought to justice."
