Tsunami single expected to go to U.K. No1

LONDON, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- A charity single to aid victims of the Dec. 26 Asian tsunami was released Monday and expected to go straight to the top of Britain's charts.

Organizers hope the song, "Grief Never Grows Old," will raise several million dollars.

The song was written by DJ Mike Read and features Bee Gees Robin and Barry Gibb, Boy George and Brian Wilson. Backing vocals are provided by Soul Sounds, a youth choir from Sri Lanka, where thousands were killed by the disaster.

The stars are releasing the single under the name One World.

The single is the first of the expected two being released to raise money for disaster victims.

Meanwhile, Elton John, Pink, and Gwen Stefani have recorded a version of Eric Clapton's "Tears In Heaven," out next month.
