NEW YORK, Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Musical act The Cure joins Radiohead, Kraftwerk and the reunion of the Pixies at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival on May 2.
Also in the lineup so far to appear at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, Calif., are Flaming Lips, Air, Prefuse 73, the Thrills, Electric Six and LCD Soundsystem, Billboard.com reports. Tickets to the two-day event are $140, $75 for one day.
The Cure's appearance follows a set at last September's Inland Invasion concert outside Los Angeles that was ecstatically received. The group is the subject of "Joint the Dots," a four-CD boxed set from Fiction/Elektra/Rhino coming Jan. 27.
They are scheduled to appear at London's Barfly on March 5, part of the Passport: Back to the Bars. Travis, Starsailor, David Gray and Badly Drawn Boy are among others participating in the charity series that will benefit children's charities, Shelter and War Child.
