Northrop Grumman naval unit names new VP

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Oct. 16 (UPI) -- U.S. company Northrop Grumman says it has selected a new Naval and Marine Systems Division vice president and general manager.

James Pitts, Northrop Grumman corporate vice president, announced the selection of David Perry as the new Naval and Marine Systems Division sector vice president and general manager.

Perry, a former U.S. Navy nuclear submarine officer, succeeds John DeMaso effective immediately. Under the new appointment Perry will be responsible for the company's Electronic Systems sector naval and marine systems programs among other requirements.

"Dave brings a wide range of leadership and technical skill sets to managing our naval and marine businesses," Pitts said in a statement.

"His extensive Navy experience along with his successful track record in developing and delivering marine systems, makes him well-prepared to lead this division forward."
