API Technologies supplying microwave filers for airborne EW platform

An unidentified defense company has selected API Technologies to supply microwave filters for use with airborne electronic warfare equipment.

ORLANDO, Fla., April 29 (UPI) -- API Technologies Corp. says it is to supply microwave filters and switched filters to an unidentified defense company for use in electronic warfare.

The number of filters to be supplied to the defense company and their delivery schedule were not disclosed but API Technologies said the contract carries a value of $1.6 million.

“Our customers in the electronic warfare arena demand products that address a broad set of technical requirements with unparalleled performance and reliability,” said Bel Lazar, president and chief executive officer, API Technologies. “As a supplier to both emerging and existing EW platforms, our products are helping save the lives of warfighters from our armed forces and allies around the world every day.”

API said the filters will be used on an airborne electronic warfare platform.
