AMMAN, Jordan, May 24 (UPI) -- Jordanian King Abdullah received an invitation from U.S. President George W. Bush to attend the G-8 summit in the June 8, reports said Monday.
Amman's daily al-Rai quoted a source in the Royal Court as saying the monarch has not decided yet whether he will attend the parley of the eight leading industrialized countries in the world, which is scheduled take place in Sea Island, Ga.

Washington addressed similar invitations to four other Arab leaders, including Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah, King Mohammed VI of Morocco and Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
The G-8 summit will be discuss, among other things, the political reforms Arab countries are being pressed to introduce.
