James Tupper (born August 4, 1965) is a Canadian actor best known for his role as Jack Slattery on the ABC television series Men in Trees.

Tupper was born in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada. He studied acting at Concordia University, Montreal, and later at Rutgers University, New Jersey.

Entertainment Tonight has reported that Anne Heche, the Men in Trees actress is romantically involved with Tupper. Heche's rep had no comment on the relationship. Tupper split from his wife in November 2006, according to ET. His rep had no comment when reached by PEOPLE magazine. On December 3rd, 2008, it was confirmed by Heche's rep to US Magazine that Heche and Tupper are expecting their first child together.
