Iain Armitage, James Tupper set for Season 2 of 'Big Little Lies'

Feb. 28 (UPI) -- The Young Sheldon actor Iain Armitage is to return as Ziggy, the son of Shailene Woodley's Jane, in Season 2 of Big Little Lies, HBO confirmed Wednesday.

The cable network also announced the additions of two new cast members to the show about wealthy and competitive California parents.

James Tupper will play Nathan, who "copes with a complicated turn of events in his marriage and with his eldest daughter Abby," a news release said.

Jeffrey Nordling will play Gordon Klein, who "faces the consequences of a big mistake and risks losing everything along the way."

David E. Kelley is penning the scripts for all seven episodes, based on a story by Liane Moriarty.

Previously announced, returning cast members include Woodley, Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern, Zoƫ Kravitz and Adam Scott.

Joining the ensemble for Season 2 will be Meryl Streep.
