LOS ANGELES, Feb. 24 (UPI) -- According to Silver Linings Playbook producer Harvey Weinstein, Jennifer Lawrence is taking a much needed year off from acting.
Weinstein defended her decision, saying that it has been non-stop for her and she deserves a rest. The popular actress has done 8 films in 12 months, which is practically unheard of, and she did not attend the BAFTA awards despite winning an award for her role in American Hustle.
"Jennifer is too nice and will do people favors and agrees to do movies like American Hustle when she could have had a rest," said Weinstein, "She signed on to do Hunger Games when she was young and wouldn't have realized how much it would dominate her life. But she is a professional and always will be."
Lawrence and her boyfriend Nicholas Houl have been looking for a house in the U.K. and she will probably spend most of her time there.
