LOS ANGELES, Feb. 19 (UPI) -- Robert Kirkman is headed for Hollywood.
Kirkman, who wrote the Walking Dead comic books and produced its enormously successful television adaptation, is set to move into films with Norman Reedus, who plays Walking Dead fan favorite Daryl Dixon.
Kirkman will reportedly produce the sci-fi thriller, Air, which will star Reedus and Oscar-nominated actor Djimon Hounsou, who plays Korath in this summer's highly anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy.
Air, according to an early synopsis, takes place in an "underground cryogenic facility" after nuclear fallout has made Earth's atmosphere unlivable. Reedus and Hounsou play custodians of cryotubes where sleeping human beings await the time they can return to the outside.
Video game designer Christian Cantamessa will direct the picture.
