NEW YORK, Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Simon Cowell's attempt at family life didn't get off to an auspicious start. The 54-year-old X Factor host had an affair with best friend's wife, Lauren Silverman, who said she was pregnant with Cowell's child last July.
But Cowell and Silverman look radiant in a new series of family photos with their 2-day-old son Eric, who was born in New York City on Valentine's Day.
"I never knew how much love and pride I would feel," Cowell tweeted Sunday.

Silverman and her husband, British producer Andrew Silverman, divorced last August. They have a 7-year-old son named Adam.
