NEW YORK, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- An injured Lindsey Vonn walked the runway at the annual Heart Truth Red Dress Fashion Show in New York City on Thursday evening.

The 29-year-old hobbled down the catwalk on crutches in a bright red, body-hugging Cynthia Rowley dress.

Vonn, who was unable to attend the Sochi Olympics over a knee injury, credited her mom with helping her stay positive as she recovers.

"She always sees the positives in everything," Vonn said according to People magazine. "She always says, 'There's always tomorrow. There's always another race.' When you say it like that, it sounds really simple. It's not that simple. But she makes me feel like it's possible."

Boyfriend Tiger Woods has also stayed by the skier's side always reminding her that things are going to be okay.

"He just reminds me to be patient, that everything is going to be fine," she says. "I really appreciate all the support he has given me. It makes a big difference."
