Anna Kendrick signs on to 'Pitch Perfect 2' without script

NEW YORK, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Anna Kendrick didn't need to read a script to confirm her role in the upcoming Pitch Perfect 2 film.

While talking to Us Weekly at the Daisy Marc Jacobs Tweet Shop event in New York City, the 28-year-old actress said had signed on for the sequel even though the script for it has yet to be written.

"I'm very excited!" she reportedly said. "I mean I've signed on with no script, so you know, if it becomes about parasailing instead of singing, don't blame me!"

Kendrick said that news that there would be sequel for the film was "a weight off everybody's shoulders." Pitch Perfect 2 was first confirmed to be in the works in April of 2013.

Also returning to the a cappella-inspired film are Rebel Wilson (Fat Amy), Kendrick's love interest Skylar Astin and Elizabeth Banks. The latter -- who co-starred and produced Pitch Perfect -- will be directing the aca-comedy.
