Sean 'Diddy' Combs proposed to girlfriend Cassie via Instagram

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 3 (UPI) -- Rapper/producer Sean "Diddy" Combs shared a cryptic photo of an engagement ring on his Instagram account Sunday.

The pic left hundreds of his fans confused over whether the post was the proposal per se or just a display of the gigantic diamond ring he got for longtime girlfriend Cassie.

The 44-year-old captioned the image, "Baby do you like it? I just want to get you wat you Like ! I just wanna Mk you smile :) #takeDat. !"

While "Diddy" never clarified if his girlfriend had in fact accepted his proposal, later that day Keyshia Cole Instagrammed a photo of Cassie with the massive ring on her hand.

The rapper and the 27-year-old beauty have been dating on and off since 2007.

"Diddy" has previously dated Kimberly Porter and Jennifer Lopez, while Cassie has been romantically linked to Ryan Leslie.
