LONDON, Feb. 3 (UPI) -- Kate Moss, 40, made her debut as Vogue UK's fashion editor in the glossy's upcoming March issue.

The 34-time British Vogue cover girl stepped behind the scenes to fulfill her new role and produced a photo shoot that was described by editor-in-chief Alexandra Shulman as an "homage to renegade rock style."

Moss's debut shoot was titled Cause Célèbre and it featured 30-year-old Ukranian-Canadian model Daria Werbowy with photography from Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. The theme was reportedly inspired by the 1970s band Destroy All Monsters.

"Kate Moss, surely one of the most famous free spirits of our age, has styled her first fashion shoot for us. Photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, "Cause Célèbre" is -- possibly unsurprisingly -- a homage to renegade rock style," Shulman wrote in her editor's letter.

"From gathering the initial moodboard to talking me through the rail of clothes in the Vogue fashion room and adjusting the accessories on Daria Werbowy, Kate took on the complete role of fashion editor -- although perhaps not every editor takes her model out partying on the first night of the shoot!"
