LOS ANGELES, Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Director Ron Howard already let the cat out of the bag earlier this month, when he tweeted a photo of Chris Pratt meeting his daughter, Bryce Dallas Howard, on the red carpet at the Golden Globes. But the 34-year-old Parks and Recreation star made his participation more official while out promoting The Lego Movie.

“For me, Jurassic Park was really kind of my Star Wars,” Pratt said.

I lined up at the theatre to see it, I saw it opening night, I saw every sequel, I’ve seen it a whole bunch of times… for me that was my big movie, I think I was 13 or 14 when it came out.

And so it’s a big deal for me to be any part of that, let alone this part I’m going to be playing. I’m thrilled about it.

Pratt has taken on a host of blockbuster film roles in recent years. Aside from The Lego Movie and Jurassic World, he'll star in this summer's Guardians of Galaxy, a film that inspired his new physique.

Though there are few details about the upcoming Jurassic installment, director Colin Trevorrow has revealed that Jurassic World will take place in real time, 22 years after the first Jurassic Park film.
