British police arrested two women on suspicion of terrorism activity on Thursday in London.

Counter-terrorism police arrested a 26 year-old woman at Heathrow Airport as she prepared to depart on a 9:20 a.m. local flight to Istanbul. She was in possession of a "large quantity of cash" at the time of her arrest. Investigators are looking into whether her travels were tied to the Syrian conflict. Police arrested a 27-year-old woman several hours later at a London address.
