David Lucado has captured Britney Spears' heart

Nov. 26 (UPI) -- Has Britney Spears found lasting love at last?

The pop princess took a moment to gush about her boyfriend of nine months, David Lucado, who she met through friends.

"I'm in love," she said. "I like the fact that he is very stubborn and stuck in his ways."

"He's just a simple man," she continued. "I adore him. He's really funny and he's really passionate. I love the fact that anything he's involved in and he's passionate about and it's contagious."

Spears admitted her dad was wary of his famous daughter's new love, even conducting a background check on her new beau.

"My dad's a little crazy like that," she said, adding that she'd like to think about having more kids before she considers tying the knot again.

"I'd like to have more kids, settle down," she said. "Have kids -- maybe twins -- and get married. That would be nice."

Spears, who broke off her engagement with Jason Trawick in February, has two sons, Sean Preston, 8, and Jayden James, 7, with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
