Scott Disick's mother Bonnie has died

(UPI) -- Reality star Scott Disick is mourning the death of his mother, Bonnie Disick, who passed away on October 28 at the age of 63.

The family said the funeral was a small, private ceremony with just close family and friends, with longtime girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian the only member of her famous clan in attendance. Disick was said to be very close to his mother, and is devastated by her passing.

Disick and Kardashian had missed out on several public events with the rest of the Kardashians in recent weeks, prompting whispers that the there was trouble in the sometimes volatile couple's relationship. They missed Kim Kardashian's high-profile engagement to Kanye West on October 21 and a party at Magic Mountain to celebrate Kendall Jenner's 18th birthday on October 29.

An only child, Disick grew up with his mother and father, Jeff, on Long Island, N.Y. He and Kardashian have two children together: Mason, 3, and Penelope, 1.
