(UPI) -- Nina Agdal did not know ex-boyfriend Adam Levine was engaged to fellow Victoria's Secret model Behati Prinsloo until Levine sent her a text message about it.

Levine and Prinsloo began dating in May 2012 and broke up in May 2013. Soon after, Levine began dating Agdal.

The model said she has no hard feelings toward the Maroon 5 frontman and his bride-to-be, however.

"I am not even worried about anything like that. If something is meant to be, then it will be," Agdal said.

"I feel like so many young girls have this idea of a relationship or marriage or love and [they] don’t even know. We are 21 years old, okay? Go out, have a tequila, and stop worrying about it."

Prinsloo and Levine got back together later in the summer, after Levine "went MIA on Nina and stopped answering her calls." Agdal said that at 21, she was too young to know much about love anyway.

"No, it didn't [teach me about love]. I am 21 years old, and I don't think anyone who is 21 knows what love is about yet," Agdal said.

"I think love just happens. It happened to them and I’m happy for them."
