Reality television star Bill Rancic is running the New York City Marathon, hoping to raise up to $25,000 for Fab-U-Wish, a breast cancer charity started by his wife, Giuliana Rancic. Giuliana Rancic has been public about her own breast cancer battle and double mastectomy in 2011. Though she now only has to have regular checkups with doctors to make sure the cancer doesn't return, she still runs Fab-U-Wish, an organization that grants wishes to women battling the disease.

To give her a helping hand, husband Bill Rancic teamed up with Timex to donate $1 to her charity for every person he passes during the marathon. To give him the most earning potential, he's starting the race in dead last.
He hasn't run the marathon since he was 28 and again when he was 30, but he said he wanted to prove to himself that he could do it."It was an opportunity to raise money for a good charity, something that's near and dear to our heart," Bill Rancic told CBSNews.com.
"I think every guy that hits his 40s has a little bit of a wake-up call and wants to just keep things real, as they say, and just to push yourself," he said.
