Ewan McGregor would do 'Star Wars' sequel if asked

Ewan McGregor would say yes if J.J. Abrams asked him to star in his Star Wars sequel.

Ewan McGregor hasn't been contacted about appearing in the upcoming "Star Wars: Episode VII."

But the 42-year-old Birtish actor, who played Obi-Wan Kenobi in 2002's "Star Wars: Episode II," told E! News he'd "be up for it" if director J.J. Abrams were to give him a call.

"Episode VII" will be "a continuation of the saga created by George Lucas," according to IMDb. The official cast of the film has not yet been announced though Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher are rumored to be coming back as Han and Leia Solo. The movie is expected to be released in 2015.

In the meantime, you catch McGregor starring alongside Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts in "August: Osage County," which hits theaters on January 2, 2014.
