Time Warner Cable launches on-demand access on Android

Time Warner Cable will be updating its app for Android allowing it access to its on-demand content Tuesday.

According to PCMag the update will add access to over 4,000 on-demand TV shows and movies as well as TV and on-demand support for Android users.

In addition, users will be able to mirror some live-content on the App when they're away from home as well as access a dozen live-TV channels.

The update comes after Time Warner added the same capabilities to its iOS app last month.

Other benefits offered to Android users include an improved live TV mini-guide, new channel-sorting options and the support of video playback on 98% of all Android devices (as long as they are currently running Android 2.2 or higher).

The update will be released to Android users and Google Play on Tuesday, May 14.
