California resort lifts 30-year ban on Apple employees

In 1983, the La Playa Carmel resort put a permanent ban on all Apple employees after a night of wild behavior during their stay, according to Apple historians.

CNET reports that the 30-year ban began after Steve Jobs and his cohorts were caught skinny-dipping, among other shenanigans.

But the new owners of the La Playa Carmel hold no hard feelings, and Apple has reportedly booked an event there.

The resort's new owner sent Apple a message to make amends:

"Welcome back, Apple: All is forgiven."

Author Frank Rose wrote that the retreat there was like a "college beer bash," and that their behavior got the whole team kicked out. They were asked to leave the next day -- and never return.

Hopefully Apple will behave this time -- at least well enough to avoid 30 years bans.
