New iPad 5 leaked photos show thinner bezel

New photos of what could be the new iPad emerged Wednesday, suggesting Apple is ramping up production on the next generation tablet.

First published by the French blog Nowhereelse, the photos show the iPad glass along with a finer bezel -- the rim holding the glass in place -- indicating the screen will remain the same size while the overall device gets smaller and lighter.

The front glass images come on the heels of pictures of back housing leaked in January, with a thinner casing, similar to the design of the iPad mini.

As always, the leaked images are unconfirmed until Apple unveils the real thing. The formal presentation is expected sometime this spring.
