After Disney's "Paperman" won the Academy Award for best animated short, producer Kristina Reed began throwing paper airplanes with kisses on them, like the ones seen in the film, from the mezzanine.

The three or four planes went mostly unnoticed. A few onlookers said they flew straight down from the balcony and didn't make it anywhere near the stage. Nonetheless, security removed her from the auditorium. After about ten minutes and a "short protest" she was allowed to return to her seat.

Directed by John Kahrs, the black-and-white hand-drawn short film appeared ahead of the animated feature "Wreck it Ralph," which lost to Pixar's "Brave" at the Academy Awards Sunday.
