Melissa Leo, Sarah Shahi join 'Dolly Parton's Heartstrings'

Feb. 12 (UPI) -- Melissa Leo, Sarah Shahi and many others have been cast in Dolly Parton's upcoming Netflix anthology series titled Heartstrings.

Rochelle Aytes, Tammy Lynn Michaels, Jessica Collins, Holly Taylor, Bellamy Young, Camryn Manheim, Andy Mientus, Katie Stevens, Michael Willett will also be starring in the series across different episodes, Netflix announced on Twitter Monday.

Each episode of Heartstrings will be featured on one of Parton's classic songs such as "These Old Bones" and "Jolene," among others.

The country legend will be introducing each episode of the series where she will explain the meaning behind each song.

Kathleen Turner and Ginnifer Goodwin are also set to star in the episode based on "These Old Bones" alongside Kyle Bornheimer.

Julianne Hough, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Dallas Roberts will be featured in the "Jolene" episode.

Dolly Parton's Heartstrings is set to launch on Netflix in 2019.
