Dec. 13 (UPI) -- Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live together to discuss their friendship and promote their upcoming comedy film, Holmes and Watson.

"I did like Will right at the outset," Reilly said of meeting Ferrell, his frequent comedy partner in films such as Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Step Brothers and Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.

Reilly said he met Ferrell through Saturday Night Live alum Molly Shannon and felt that he really connected with the comedian after appearing in Talladega Nights.

"I feel like we did develop quite a real relationship," Reilly continued before Ferrell said that one of his favorite things about Reilly is how he announces he's going to the bathroom by stating, "I'm taking a trip to Dusseldorf."

The pair ended the interview by singing together Peaches & Herb's "Reunited."

"To see men express their affection is really a beautiful thing," Kimmel said.

Holmes and Watson features Ferrell taking on the role of iconic detective Sherlock Holmes with Reilly as his partner John Watson. It is set to arrive in theaters on Dec. 25.
