John Watson (Born 1975 in Indianapolis, IN. USA) is an American artist and sculptor based in Saint Louis, MO. He is known primarily for sculptures created from found wood and recycled building materials. His work has been exhibited throughout the United States at venues including:Laumeier Sculpture Park, St. Louis; Hemphill, Washington, D.C.; Philip Slein Gallery, Saint Louis, MO; Savannah Gallery, Atlanta, GA; School 33 Art Center, Baltimore, MD University of Hawaii; LIMN, San Francisco, CA; Area 405, Baltimore, MD; Washington Project for the Arts/Corcoran, Washington, DC; Sweetboyprojects, Los Angeles, CA. John Watson lives and works in St. Louis.
He received his MFA in sculpture for the University of Maryland, College Park.
John Watson is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Art at Webster University, Saint Louis.
