The International title refers to how the new Men in Black takes place primarily in London. The original Men in Black trilogy which starred Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, was set in New York City.

Straight Outta Compton and The Fate of the Furious helmer F. Gary Gray is directing from a script by Iron Man screenwriters Matt Holloway and Art Marcum. Rebecca Ferguson, Liam Neeson, Kumail Nanjiani and Emma Thompson are also set to star.

Hemsworth and Thompson, who previously starred together in Marvel's Thor: Ragnarok, made headlines in September when they posted on social media selfies they took from the set of the film.
