Nov. 29 (UPI) -- Jake Gyllenhaal has reunited with his Nightcrawler co-star Rene Russo in the first image for Netflix's upcoming thriller, Velvet Buzzsaw.
Netflix released the image on Twitter Wednesday which features Gyllenhaal wearing glasses and a dark suit. The actor appears to be in deep thought as Russo stands behind him.
The film, written and directed by Nightcrawler helmer Dan Gilroy, is set to premiere during the Sundance Film Festival in January.
Velvet Buzzsaw takes place in Los Angeles' contemporary art scene. Toni Collette, Zawe Ashton, Tom Sturridge, and Natalia Dyer also star.

Gyllenhaal is also set to appear as the villainous Mysterio in Sony and Marvel's upcoming superhero sequel, Spider-Man: Far From Home.
