Trace Adkins to perform at Wounded Warrior Project's benefit dinner

May 28 (UPI) -- Country music artist Trace Adkins is scheduled to perform at Thursday's Courage Awards & Benefit Dinner in New York.

Brian Kilmeade of from the morning news program Fox & Friends is hosting the event. Confirmed attendees include Thomas Gibson, Anson Mount, Melissa Joan Hart, Dolph Ziggler, Luke Pell and Justin Melnick.

The gala is intended to support participants in the Wounded Warrior Project, their families and caregivers.

"Caring for wounded warriors is our nation's sacred responsibility," WWP CEO Mike Linnington said in a statement. "It's incredibly special to see those in the public eye use their celebrity for social good. We're grateful these men and women freely give their time and voice to promote the challenges wounded veterans face."
