Seoul to hold additional nuclear talks

SEOUL, Dec. 24 (UPI) -- Nuclear experts will gather in Seoul to discuss nuclear security and the safe use of nuclear energy before a global nuclear summit in March, officials said.

The Nuclear Power Industry Summit will be held March 23 in Seoul, with about 100 people along with major global organizations in attendance, Yonhap News Agency reported Saturday.

Officials from the International Atomic Energy Agency and the Nuclear Energy Agency will join the gathering to discuss roles the nuclear industry can take in enhancing safety and security.

At the end of the meeting, they will issue a joint statement on their conclusions to be submitted to the Nuclear Security Summit, set to begin March 26 in Seoul.
