John Goodman back in jail

PALM BEACH, Fla., Oct. 11 (UPI) -- Polo mogul and convict John Goodman has been jailed in Florida for allegedly tampering with his ankle monitoring device, police said.

Goodman, who was convicted for the 2010 death of 23-year-old Scott Wilson, was sent to the Palm Beach County Jail late Wednesday, the Palm Beach Post reported.

Deputies with the In-House Arrest Program were alerted early Wednesday of a problem with a monitor affixed to Goodman's ankle.

In February, Goodman was sentenced to 16 years in prison for the DUI manslaughter of Wilson who drowned after Goodman's Bentley crashed into Wilson's Hyundai.

Goodman has been under house arrest at his Wellington home since May while he appeals the conviction and sentence. He posted a $7 million bond and has to pay for two off-duty deputies to watch him day and night.
