Stan Wawrinka calls Roger Federer an expletive after tennis match

March 21 (UPI) -- An all-Swiss final ended in friendly jabs on Sunday in Indian Wells, Calif.

Roger Federer won his second tournament in three chances, beating Stan Wawrinka in the BNP Paribas Open 6-4, 7-5. He also captured January's Australian Open. After the match, Wawrinka lobbed a return diss at his friend.

"I'm sorry, I'm just tired," Wawrinka said. "I would like to congratulate Roger. He's laughing. He's an [expletive], but its OK.

"I've lost some tough ones against you, but when you played the final in Australia, I was still your biggest fan. So congrats for your comeback and congrats for today."

Federer, 35, is now 20-3 against Wawrinka all-time. He also beat him in five sets in the Australian Open semifinals.
