Boldin, 36, was a second round pick by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2003 NFL Draft. He played his first seven years in the desert before joining the Baltimore Ravens in 2010. He played for the San Francisco 49ers from 2013 to 2015, before joining the Detroit Lions last season. Boldin had 584 yards and eight touchdowns in 16 games in 2016.

Boldin visited the Bills in July. He turns 37-years-old in October. Initial reports suggested that Boldin wanted to stay close to home in Florida when he signed with a new franchise.
