Oakland Raiders' Marshawn Lynch had May's top-selling NFL jersey

June 13 (UPI) -- The top-selling NFL jersey for the month of May didn't belong to Tom Brady or a young Dallas Cowboys star; it belonged to Marshawn Lynch.

NFL Shop reports Lynch's silver and black No. 24 Oakland Raiders garb was the hottest commodity of all jerseys last month.

Brady's No. 12 was second, followed by jerseys for Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and running back Ezekiel Elliott. Houston Texans rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson had the fifth top-selling jersey. Raiders quarterback Derek Carr, New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz, Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones and New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski rounded out the top-10 best-sellers.

'Beast Mode' joined the Raiders on April 26 after a trade with the Seattle Seahawks. {link: Lynch's No. 24: "https://www.upi.com/Sports_News/NFL/2017/05/29/Marshawn-Lynch-to-wear-Charles-Woodsons-No-24-with-Oakland-Raiders/4821496099059/" target="_blank"} is the top selling NFL jersey in California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii, South Dakota, Kansas, Iowa and Indiana.

Despite moving to the New Orleans Saints this offseason, Adrian Peterson still had the most popular jersey in Minnesota.

Early this year, Elliott was the first rookie ever to finish a season at the top of the NFL Players Association's Top 50 player sales list.

Lynch tops the Raiders' depth chart at running back. But has started 16 games in a season only once during his nine-year NFL career. He led the league in rushing touchdowns in 2013 and 2014, before his brief retirement.
