New Orleans Saints' Drew Brees shows off accuracy with trick shot throws

By Alex Butler

June 7 (UPI) -- A double pendulum ring shot was one of the several crazy throws completed by Drew Brees in a video for Dude Perfect.

The New Orleans Saints quarterback recently performed several accurate tosses with the guys from the popular YouTube channel. The Drew Brees Edition video has nearly 8 million views since being posted Monday.

Brees kicks off the display by tossing a football through two rings, which are elevated and moving in opposite directions. He later dropkicks a football into a pylon, while the pylon was sitting on another guy's head.

Brees also tosses a "football skeet buster." That throw hits a clay target, making it explode in mid air.

Saints coach Sean Payton then joins the crew to have a brief conversation. Brees, Payton and a member of Dude Perfect decide to play a guessing game. Payton dominates the competition, guessing several songs that are being played on a guitar.

Brees returns to throwing action to hit a "tower laser shot" and swishes the football into a basketball hoop sitting on the back of a moving golf cart. He finishes off with a throw called the "Superdome Special." That toss comes from section 610 in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Brees nets the football into a basketball hoop from high above.

Dude Perfect has teamed up with several athletes in the past to test their talents, including Los Angeles Clippers guard Chris Paul and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Filming for the exploits took place in May.
