March 10 The Seattle Seahawks made their first major offseason addition Thursday when they reached agreement on a one-year deal with former Jacksonville Jaguars offensive lineman Luke Joeckel.

The deal could be worth up to $8 million, according to USA Today.

Joeckel was the No. 2 overall draft pick in 2013 draft, and he started 30 games at left tackle in 2014 and 2015.

However, he played in just four games in 2016. Joeckel was replaced by Kelvin Beachum, who was signed as a free agent, at tackle, and he played left guard for four games before being placed on injured reserve after suffering a torn ACL, MCL and meniscus in his left knee.

The Jaguars failed to pick up their fifth-year option on Joeckel, making him a free agent.

The Seahawks also show interest in guard T.J. Lang and running backs Jamaal Charles and Latavius Murray.

Lang, who plans to visit Seattle and Detroit, was voted to his first Pro Bowl in 2016 with the Green Bay Packers, but he had hip surgery in January.

Charles, who has played in just eight games over the past two seasons because of knee injuries, is expected to visit the Seahawks. In the three games he played in 2016, Charles rushed for 40 yards on 12 carries and caught two passes for 14 yards.

The Seahawks will also get a visit from Murray, who rushed for 1,066 yards for the Raiders in 2015 and 788 yards in 14 games in 2016. He also caught 74 passes over those two seasons for 496 yards.

The Seahawks have Thomas Rawls and C.J. Prosise coming back in 2017.
