March 10 The Cincinnati Bengals retained cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick by signing him to a five-year contract on Thursday.

Kirkpatrick broke the news on his Twitter account.

"Cincy I'm coming home 5 more years," Kirkpatrick tweeted.

Kirkpatrick had three interceptions last season for the third time in his career. He has returned two for touchdowns during his five-year career.

Kirkpatrick had 46 tackles while earning just over $7.5 million last season after the Bengals exercised the fifth-year option on his rookie deal.

The 27-year-old had a career-best 70 stops in 2015.
